The Maryland Minority Contractors Association (MMCA) and Special Secretary Sharon Pinder Honored J. Vinton Schafer& Sons, Inc. with the Award for Best Practices in Contracting , January 2005. The award is given to a firm that best represents the “ideals of good team work and cooperation.”
The MMCA advocates the development and growth of minority businesses in Maryland . In an effort to support the minority businesses in Maryland , MMCA has acquired over a hundred members to help exceed state mandates, build business relationships, and support legislative needs. Schafer and other local organizations, like ABC Baltimore are major supporters of this cause.
