The new Seven Oaks Elementary school is located in Odenton, Maryland and adjacent to NSA and Fort George C. Meade, home to 109,000 soldiers. Together they represent the largest employers in the State of Maryland. Seven Oaks Elementary School provides the community with a safe, comfortable state-of-the-art learning environment.
With a Maryland state rated capacity of 748 students, a foot print of over 81,000 square feet and at a total cost of $10.6 million, Seven Oaks is the largest elementary school in Anne Arundel County . The campus spreads over 16.4 acres and includes a sport stadium, ball fields, two outside playground areas and an outside basketball court.
Offering a comprehensive, multicultural curriculum from kindergarten through 5th grade, Seven Oaks Elementary School also has one of the largest gymnasiums within Anne Arundel County elementary schools. The school offers the community and the Parks & Recreations program an opportunity to grow their athletic programs, encouraging health and vitality to the children.
To assure success the construction duration for Seven Oaks Elementary had to be shortened from the originally scheduled 17 months to an unprecedented 13 months. Through a comprehensive rescheduling effort by J. Vinton Schafer & Sons, Inc. and Anne Arundel County Public Schools a plan was established and the schedule set.
