The University of Maryland, Baltimore has called upon J. Vinton
Schafer & Sons, Inc. for Professional CM services on two university
construction management contracts.
J. Vinton Schafer & Sons, Inc., an 84 year old construction
management firm committed to quality and customer satisfaction,
continues to provide construction management services throughout
Maryland. Schafer has been chosen by University of Maryland, Baltimore
to provide construction management services using an "On-Call"
arrangement for various projects as they arise and for the Renovation
of 1300 N. Charles Street.
University of Baltimore, the only upper-division institution in
the Maryland Higher Education System, was founded in 1925 and presently
enrolls 4,639 students. With the constant growth of the university,
J. Vinton Schafer & Sons, Inc. has been asked to provide Construction
Management services for building renovations. For the full development
of the project, Schafer has also been asked to aid the University
of Baltimore in the management of the design and construction processes
for the 5-story renovation of the existing N. Charles Street building,
including all pre-construction services.
The On-Call CM Services Contract will include all pre-construction,
construction, and post construction services. J. Vinton Schafer
& Sons, Inc., as a partner on the project team, will work directly
with the University, A/E firm and all other consultants. J. Vinton
Schafer & Sons, Inc. will provide the leadership for the project
team on all matters relating to the project.
