The Walter's Art Gallery |
| Overview: |
The renovations to the Walters Art Gallery included the incorporation
of the latest hi-tech developments available in the art industry,
as well as the restoration and preservation of this historically
significant structure.
Highlights of the work included:
- upgrading of the mechanical and electrical systems
- extensive improvements to the art storage, preparation
and shipping areas
- replacement of the massive skylights in the Raphael Gallery,
incorporating the installation of an automatic sun control
system.
- restoration, repair and cleaning of all marble work and
terrazzo
- refinishing original wood floors
- installation of new interior millwork and refinishing
existing millwork
- interior painting
