American Visionary Art Museum |
| Overview: |
The project consisted of a 32,950 square foot main building
and a 3,528 square foot sculpture building. The museum incorporates
the historic "Baltimore Trolley Works Building."
It is composed of exterior walls which are curved poured in
place concrete. Each wall has a different radius and begins
from a different center point. The museum features a cantilevered
semi-circular gallery with the restaurant's outdoor terrace
on top. The building entry is a curving ramp of glass, concrete
and imported limestone.
