Schafer provided continuous construction management services to GBMC from 1987 through 2001. Projects varied in size and complexity, from a single nurse's station to the addition of the new OB/Acute Care wing. Schafer projects included renovation of the entire 362 bed community hospital, the 215,000 square foot obstetrics and acute care addition, a new 950 car parking structure, a new 24 bed hospice center, renovations and retrofits of doctors' suites, a new entry gate house and a stormwater management pond.
