Working on the site of the old school, this project entailed the construction of a new 66,700 square foot, 606 student, elementary school for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Student areas throughout the school are color coordinated by grades. The gymnasium includes a special "sport court" floor. Interior areas are "opened up" to the outdoors through the use of two internal courtyards. The main hallway ceiling spans 22' and is highlighted with plastic laminate cutouts of children. Upon completion of the new school, the old school was demolished.
