Congratulations to the Newly Promoted

Since joining Schafer in 2005, Ryan Wolf , CDT has been an integral part in Schafer's professional service to the Howard County Public School system and their All Day Kindergarten Program.  With a B.S. in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology, Ryan eagerly served as assistant project manager with constant initiative to increase his role and responsibility.  In the past year he did just that.  Ryan performed more of the project management responsibilities and is thus being promoted as one of J. Vinton Schafer's new Project Managers. 

Similarly, E. Wayne Gutermuth , Jr., PE, CDT came to Schafer with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and as a registered professional engineer with project management background.  Wayne 's increased responsibilities on project assignments, including the Tawes Fine Arts Project has positioned him for promotion to Project Manager .  Wayne 's first official project serving as Project Manager is the new Phillip Merrill College of Journalism for University of Maryland College Park . 

In addition, Mary Ryan , CCCA came to Schafer with a B.S. in Computer Science from UMCP and immediately began working diligently to obtain her AA degree in Construction Technology along with several industry specific certifications.  Based on her continuing education and increased project responsibility, Mary has been promoted to Project Manager.

NEWLYAWARDED PROJECTS -

University of Maryland , Baltimore has selected J. Vinton Schafer as one of their On-Call CM Firms once again!  This contract term is a One (1) year base with four (4), One (1) year renewal options.  No one project will exceed $5M under the On-Call Contract.

University of Maryland College Park has selected J. Vinton Schafer as one of their On-Call CM Firms.  This contract term is a Two (2) year base with three (3), One (1) year renewal options.  No one project will exceed $10M under the On-Call Contract.

Carroll County Public Schools has selected Schafer for the FIRST time as the Construction Manager to provide pre-construction services for their Westminster High School HVAC Replacement project .   

Schafer is pleased to have been selected by Montgomery County Public Schools for the construction phase of the new of Cashell Elementary School (replace existing) in Rockville , MD.

Schafer's project team has begun working on the new Vale Road Elementary School project for Harford County Public Schools.
